Location: Zhejiang, China
Site Area: 19.1 ha
Building Area: 232,400 sqm
Client: Antaeus Group
This project is situated in Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, renowned for its Jingshan Zen Tea and mangroves. ZNA's design approach is centered on enhancing the vacation lifestyle and character of Hangzhou. At the core of our design concept are the mangrove tree and the integration of the Zen Tea spirit into both architectural and landscape spaces. ZNA designers have strategically divided the required spaces, incorporating streets, paths, halls, and yards to create a large resort complex with a small-scale feel—both humanistic and naturally interesting. We seamlessly combined a unique film zone and art zone within the main hotel lobby. This concept gave rise to a pathway circulating around a Thai restaurant, the art zone, the film zone, a Spa, a private club, and conference hall, all shaped like the number '8.' With the design concept inviting visitors to enjoy many pleasant small-scale spaces, the designers seamlessly intertwined humanistic design, classical architecture, and the beautiful landscapes of Hangzhou.
